Sairat girl scores big

HSC examination results announced recently, fans of the National Award-winning actress Prerana ‘Rinku’ M Rajguru, seen in the hit Marathi film Sairat, were keen on knowing her result. The actress scored quite well and secured 82 per cent marks.

Rinku, who became a celebrity with the success of her romantic tragedy film, wanted to be a doctor before she attained the “superstar” status at a pretty young age. However, she did not drop out and continued her SSC and HSC as an external student. She even has plans to do her post-graduation. Sairat collected many awards and honours, and became a rare local film to cross the Rs 5 crore mark; it then broke the Rs 10 crore mark and has now set a new benchmark for regional films, breaching the Rs 110 crore club!
