After playing a quirky principal in Student Of The Year 2, Samir Soni is all set to turn a baddie. The actor joins Sanjay Gupta’s upcoming gangster film, Mumbai Saga, headlined by John Abraham and Emraan Hashmi. While the film went on floors just two days back, Samir will start shooting from August 31. “This is the first time I will play a completely dark character, a gangster, and I am excited about it. I have been a big fan of Sanjay’s films. We had collaborated earlier for Alibagh, but the film got stalled. I have an interesting character in Mumbai Saga and look forward to working with John, Emraan and Rohit,” says Samir. Samir has been watching gangster movies  like Goodfellas and Casino. “I just want to see their body language, how they used to dress up, etc,” shares the actor.

“I am fed up of being Mr Goody Two Shoes. Playing a good husband or father is uni-dimensional. There is not much of a conflict. But when you play a bad guy, the range of expressions is huge and exciting,” says Samir.
