Fans were much excited when news of the Piku jodi Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan coming together in Vishal Bhardwaj’s movie tentatively titled as Sapna Didi, made headlines. Vishal had even confirmed the same on his twitter handle. When the director got to know about Irrfan’s health, he had tweeted, “Irrfan is a warrior and we know he will conquer this battle. Therefore @deepikapadukone, Prernaa @kriarj and I have decided to reschedule our film and start with renewed energy and celebration when our warrior returns as a winner.”
However, the latest buzz suggests that the movie has been shelved and Deepika has even returned the signing amount. If reports are to be believed, the movie might not see light of the day. Deepika, who is expected to marry Ranveer Singh in November this year, preferred to return the signing amount. She is said to have conveyed to Vishal that she would like to collaborate with him post Irrfan’s recovery. Meanwhile, Irrfan is responding well to treatment and will definitely resume his commitments. But there is no clarity on when that will happen.
