If weekend shenanigans hadn’t left the bee feeling tad too old for the millennial generation, it wouldn’t have embarked on an adventurous journey in its quest for new-age slangs. It has been feeling a bit salty (bitter) about Funky Monkey bailing out on its ‘cool vocab’ tour, but this straight fire (someone hot or trendy) needs no bae (a partner, basically, an abbreviation for ‘before anyone else’) by its side. So, hold on tight bruh (a bro or a friend), as the bee skruts (leaves) for its word-finding excursion and all things viral...
Turns out Donald Glover avoided web commentary on his viral music video for ‘This Is America’ because he is sensitive to criticism. The musician and actor, who released the heavily symbolic video under his pseudonym Childish Gambino, appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! days after the internet had been flooded with think pieces speculating on its meaning. It is widely believed to tackle the theme of gun violence in America.
“Isn’t that sick!,” it says to Plotter Otter who’s been dealing with a bad hangover. Before Otter could come up with its long list of possible hypochondria, the bee explains: ‘sick’ means cool.

The scene on FB (Facebook) is quite lit (cool)! Country music superstar Reba McEntire offered a heartfelt prayer for America’s healing to celebrate the National Day of Prayer last Thursday. In 2015, McEntire released an album called “Pray for Peace”. The singing legend, who has always been vocal about her faith as a Christian, shared her prayer in a post on her official Facebook page. The post has since received nearly a hundred thousand reactions and been shared by almost 30,000 people.
Today is #NationalDayOfPrayer.
Heavenly Father, I pray for peace, joy, health and wisdom for my family, friends, our nation and our leaders. I pray that you heal the heart of our enemies. Give them peace and happiness. I pray for forgiveness for our sins and those of our enemies. I pray for God‘s will, not my will. I pray for God‘s way, not my way. Thank you Lord for your love. I love you with all my heart, soul, mind and strength.
In Jesus name I pray,
Amen.

The bee rants on:
“I don’t wanna (want to) throw shade (disrespect) on India’s elections, because talking politics isn’t that cool and a liberal statement arouses sus (suspicion) among right-wingers. Who wants that! So, I avoid getting roasted (a quick-tongue battle)... he’s Karnataka on Twitter...”
