If the latest reports are to be believed, we hear Sanjay Leela Bhansali is working on remaking 1952 Meena Kumari-starrer cult classic Baiju Bawra. Bhansali has registered three titles Baijnath, Baiju and Baiju Tansen for this remake. Not just that the buzz also suggests that the remake will have none other than Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan in it.
Baiju Bawra was a musical drama directed by Vijay Bhatt and had also starred Bharat Bhushan. It had won Meena Kumari the first-ever Best Actress Filmfare Award in 1954.
SLB is also working on another project. The movie will star Salman Khan and the female lead is yet to be closed. Earlier, there were reports that Priyanka Chopra might get cast. However, we hear that Salman is hesitant about Priyanka. The actor has reportedly expressed his reservations against working with PeeCee.
