As reported earlier, a remake of Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini starrer Satte Pe Satta is being considered and most probably Farah Khan would be directing it.
Now the latest buzz suggests that Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif are being considered to play the leads in this remake. However, neither SRK and Katrina, nor Farah Khan have confirmed these rumours or even hinted at them. It was trade analyst Sumit Kadel’s tweet that spilled the beans. He wrote, “Satte Pe Satta remake featuring SRK is on the cards as per strong hearsay in trade. Farah Khan might direct it. All rumours until things get official.”
If this rumour turns out to be true, this will be SRK and Katrina’s third film together after Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Zero. Talking about the original film, Satte Pe Satta is the 1982 comedy-action film, directed by Raj N. Sippy. While it wasn’t a box-office juggernaut, back when it released, yet, over the years, it has become a cult classic in Bollywood. Besides Big B and Hema, the film also starred Ranjeeta Kaur, Shakti Kapoor, Amjad Khan, Paintal, Kanwaljit Singh, Sachin Pilgaonkar and several others. Amitabh Bachchan had essayed a double role in the film. So, fans might see SRK in a double role yet again!
