Is your character inspired from movies?

My character is very similar to that of Deepika Padukone from Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. Avni will change her identity to Nilanjana, so as to hide herself. Nilanjana is shy, timid, docile and very different from Avni. Since she will now be seen as a caretaker of an orphanage, the look goes very well with it.

How is Aditi different from Avni?

Aditi and Avni are very similar people. I feel I have learnt a lot from Avni’s character and given some of my traits to her in return. There are times I mix the two and the audience can see a combination of both on the screen. Avni is a strong character and I take back a lot from her in real life.

Have you ever visited an orphanage before?

Yes, many times. The atmosphere of an orphanage is very different. There are a lot of kids who are waiting to share their stories.

How is your chemistry with co-star Zain Imam?

I share a great bond with Zain. I have noticed that with time, our chemistry is only getting better and I am sure it is visible on screen.

Apart from acting, what else do you enjoy?

Travelling.

How was it to work with Mahesh Bhatt?

I never expected that I will work with Mahesh Bhatt ji in my life. It is one of my best experiences till date.
