Actress Meena Kumari, who passed away at an early age of 38, was known as the Tragedy Queen of Bollywood. She has been a part of several cult films, including Pakeezah, Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam, Mere Apne and Dil Apna Aur Preet Parai to name a few. The actress reportedly was addicted to alcohol and a biopic on her is set to roll very soon. Director Karan Razdan is working on Meena Kumari’s biopic and is on a look out for an actress, who could play the title role.
Karan reportedly approached Vidya Balan. However, she turned down the offer. The director is now keen to cast Sunny Leone for the same. Talking about the same, Karan says, “I think the only one, who is courageous enough and said to me, ‘When can we start this film?’, has been Sunny Leone. I have narrated it to Madhuri and Vidya but it didn’t work out for one reason or the other.” If this works out, this would be one of the biggest opportunities for Sunny to prove her talent.
