The fate of Padmavati

Sanjay Leela Bhansali is still busy shooting for Padmavati, which is due to release on November 17. The movie stars Shahid Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh in the lead roles.

Deepika, who will soon finish working for Padmavati, has only given dates until August end for the movie, post which she will begin shooting for her other projects.

However, there seem to be differences between the director and the producers over the release date of the movie. Reportedly, Bhansali, who was mulling over releasing the movie in the summer of 2018, when shared his thoughts with his partners, they weren’t too receptive.

When Bhansali told his partners that Cannes would be the perfect place to showcase the film, people at Viacom 18 weren’t too happy claiming that the film has already gone way over the budget and cannot withstand any more delays.
