We should all definitely aim at celebrating an eco-friendly Diwali not just this year, but every year, as it’s very important for our environment and future generation. Animals get petrified by loud noises.

I love celebrating Diwali in a simple manner. I am not a fan of loud noises and pollution, so I avoid all those fire-crackers. I prefer lighting diyas and get very basic crackers. With all the global warming and new-age issues, we all in some way need to follow this eco-friendly pattern.

I have always believed in an eco-friendly Diwali, as I don’t think I could ever enjoy myself when my environment and surroundings are being harmed. There are so many alternatives available to celebrate an eco-friendly Diwali.

I remember a few years ago, Gurmeet and I had bought fire crackers worth a lot of money to celebrate with, and when we eventually burnt them all, with all the smoke and pollution it caused, it really felt like I was burning all my money.

Safe course

I strongly believe in the concept of eco-friendly Diwali. It is the festival of lights, happiness and joy. I don’t see the need for noise and air pollution. Enjoyment can be achieved without harming fellow human beings and animals. Our joy and fun shouldn’t be a hindrance to others. Be safe!
