There has never ‘bee’n a dilemma big enough to get the best of our bee. It has been hovering around the internet, observing closely the viral sensations and media propagandas. This time, though, has been rather hard on our bee. With the death of last male white rhino that has been trending on internet, and the death of Bento, an adopted can who became an internet sensation as the ‘Keyboard Cat’, the bee’s been grieving. “Alas! 39 missing Indians in Iraq are dead; Sushma’s tweet made the morning even more unbearable,” it soliloquises. 

What’s made things worse on the net is the Cambridge Analytica controversy. Buzz is: the website of Cambridge Analytica – a controversial data analytics and election strategy firm currently in the centre of a storm for allegedly harvesting the personal data of nearly 50 million Facebook users without their consent – states that its association with India goes all the way back to the Bihar state assembly elections in 2010.

Whoever said ‘Right to Privacy’, had surely never heard of internet.
