Hansal Mehta’s Omerta that stars Rajkummar Rao is all set to release on April 20 this year. The actor took to Twitter on Saturday to share the news. ‘’After #Shahid, #CityLights #Aligarh & #Bose, we are back together with #Omertà releasing on 20th April, 2018. @mehtahansal @ShaileshRSingh.’’
Omerta is a high intensity drama based on Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh, a British terrorist of Pakistani origin, who is infamous for his role in the 2002 kidnapping and murder of Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl. The film has won several accolades and has been featured at the Toronto International Film Festival as well as MAMI film festival last year. Like most of Hansal Mehta’s previous films, Omerta is also said to be based on true life events.
