Starring Rajinikanth in the lead role, the film was announced in 2016 but was postponed until June due to the standoff between Nadigar Sangam and Digital Service Providers on the increase of virtual print fee charges along with the 2018 Tamil Nadu protests for Kaveri water sharing issue which also led to the delay in release of other Tamil films.

The film is based in Mumbai where people who had migrated from Tirunelveli district, Tamil Nadu, are living in the Dharavi slum.

Brave narrative

I love the film. It raises all the right questions and has a very brave narrative. Rajnikanth, as always, has delivered a rocking performance.

Strong message

It’s a nice film and has a strong message. It questions the ridged hierarchical structure of power and talks of common people. You constantly keep seeing wall paintings of BR Ambedkar in Dharavi. It has a cultural and sociological narrative, not just the political drama.

Sushil Kumar Thakur, businessperson

Quite relatable

It’s a great film. Rajnikanth has acted really well and the dialogues, in particular, are very interesting. I loved watching it and it’s quite relatable too, politically speaking!

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is an American science-fiction adventure film, directed by J. A. Bayona. The film is the sequel to Jurassic World (2015) and is the fifth instalment of the Jurassic Park film series, as well as the second instalment of a planned Jurassic World trilogy. The film features Derek Connolly and Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow both returning as writers, with Trevorrow and original Jurassic Park director Steven Spielberg acting as executive producers. Three years after the destruction of the Jurassic World theme park, Owen Grady and Claire Dearing return to the island of Isla Nublar to save the remaining dinosaurs from a volcano that's about to erupt. They soon encounter terrifying new breeds of gigantic dinos while uncovering a conspiracy that threatens the entire planet.

Special effects

I love the movie. It has a great story and more than that the special effects are awesome. Everyone must go and watch it!

Thrills that don’t kill

It’s an extraordinary film. I really like they way they build suspense; I was on the edge of my seat till the last scene. It’s a must-watch.
