Watch public review: Mulk and Fanney Khan
Mulk
Mulk is an Indian Hindi-language drama film directed by Anubhav Sinha. Shot in Benaras and Lucknow, Mulk is the story of a Muslim family trying to reclaim its lost honour. Based on a real-life story, Mulk revolves around the struggles of a Muslim joint family from a small town in India, who fight to reclaim their honour after a member of their family takes to terrorism.
It’s a dramatic movie. The actors have performed very well and the characters are quite relatable. The movie is hard-hitting and focuses on several issues, especially those related with religious identities. It has a good storyline.

Anubhav Sinha has delivers a good direction. The dialogues are bold.
Rishi Kapoor and Tapsee are good. The movie shows the current situation and perception we hold towards religion. It’s a must-watch.

Mulk is not about the misunderstood 'enmity' between the Indian Hindus and Muslims. It is a brilliant attempt to show that, be it Hindus or Muslims, we are all Indians and that our pride is our 'mulk' and the greatest threat to our nation are those people who spread terror in the name of religion, those who divide us on the basis of our religion.

I liked the film, when it comes to acting, but it’s dragged and the storyline is not very impressive.

I did not like the film at all. It just focuses on Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Rajkummar Rao’s romance and not about the body-image issues etc. Also, it’s dragged and boring!
