Conquer with a smile: Shweta Tripathi
Being a woman can be a blessing and a boon. It could be a superpower. Cool. And fun. And all things amazing. But all this won’t happen till the time we don’t change the way we think. I am who I want to be. I don’t let my gender define my dreams, my ambitions, my emotions. This women’s day, let’s put more belief in each one celebrate each other. Smile and conquer!
Brighter future: Alankrita Shrivastava, director
I think the parts for women on screen are getting a little bit better. Many female actors are refusing to be just trophies in a male-hero lead film. I find that very heartening. When Alia Bhatt does a Raazi, Deepika Padukone does a Piku or Chhapak, then you know something is shifting. Also, the environment for women will become safer and more secure.
Embrace yourself: Rubina Dhalik, actress
Once I started my career, I felt empowered. My message for all is to embrace yourself with unconditional love and hold your head high with dignity!
The chosen ones: Ihana Dhillon
Womanhood is a gift. A woman’s strengths and powers have been highlighted in the form of various goddesses. If she can be Kali then she can be Durga too. So, if we actually realise our true strengths then we can be strong enough to move mountains. Too all you ladies out there, be yourself. Realise the gifts you have been given by the creator himself. Don’t undermine your strength.
In tune: Tulsi Kumar, singer
A lot has changed in the industry. In the industry, there are more women-oriented songs being made. It is happening at its pace and I am sure the pace will pick up in the time to come. Apart from this, the notion that a mother can’t be an actor has also taken a 360 degree turn. In 2017, I became a mother but that has not stopped me.
We nurture: Alankrita Sahai, model-actress
Women are beautiful. I believe we are the co-creators of this universe and we nurture. It’s just that we need to be aware of who we are and what we are capable of. My message is to attract what you expect, reflect what you desire to become.
I am blessed: Pooja Chopra, actress
I feel privileged and blessed to be a woman. A woman of today is not just confined to the walls of the house cooking and taking care of kids but actually we walk shoulder-to-shoulder with men. If I have a choice to be born as woman again, my answer would be yes. One message I would like to give to all ladies that don’t let anyone put you in a box. Believe in yourself and achieve your goals.
Define yourself: Juhi Parmar, actress
The feeling of being a woman is supreme ..as a woman can give birth to another life. And to be able to love another human being more than itself is the purest form of emotion. My message is - Never let anyone define your worth. Always strive to be economically independent because that will never let you compromise on taking a stand for yourself. Be proud to be who you are.
Believe in yourself: Sandeepa Dhar, actress
Liberating, powerful, strong - these are the words I wish to use to answer when someone asks me how does it feel to be a woman. However, in recent times we have seen our biggest female role-models and icons been shamed, computers hacked and nude pictures released, sex-tapes released. My message is believing in yourself, you can do more than you think, don’t let others define you.
Complete package: Aashka Goradia, actress
It’s an absolute sense of being complete when you are a woman. You have everything a human body must experience in this lifetime. From delivering a child to lifting weights, from being a Sadhvi to a fierce lover. It’s a blessing to be a woman. To women around the world, those with wings and those yet to set their flight...it’s a blessing.
A proud race: Neetu Chandra, actress
This International Women’s Day, I urge all women never to get bogged down by anything that life throws at you. Keep pushing yourself to feel recharged, reconnected and inspired from within for a great and bright future and don’t ever give up on life. I am really proud to be a woman and so should each and every woman in this world.
Be who you are: Kirti Kulhari, actress
Being a woman is the most beautiful way of being in this world. Women can also be equated to super humans with the kind of strength, patience and love we are capable of providing in different situations. We are Shakti in all its glory and divinity. A message for all - if you can, slowly and steadily keep dropping the pretence in you, the flakiness in you, the false in you...dare to be who you truly are.
