In sickness and health
One of the best narratives on friendship is 3 Idiots. Farhan, Raju and Rancho set the bar for true bonding high. The film thrived on their student life and their undying support to one another through thick and thin. Together in happy times and tough is my takeaway from it.

From now to the end
Rahul and Anjali's story is my favourite from the film world. The college time fun, fights and then makeup and trust to stay relevant in each other's lives make their journey in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai special. I and Divya have as much fun with geris and promise to stay close to each other wherever lives take us.

Death don't do us part
Old is gold. It's Jai and Veeru for me all the way. What makes Sholay iconic is the bond portrayed by Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra. Standing by your friend whether he is right or wrong is what makes a loyal mate stand in the crowd. And, the bond doesn't end when one dies.

Till eternity
It's the Preet- Rocky bond in Rocky Mental that won my heart recently. The two are close as brothers and Rocky pushes Preet to mend his ways like a sincere mate is supposed to. Preet's murder (killing) breaks down Rocky (played by Parmish Verma) who finally avenges it. Friends last you not only a lifetime but even beyond.

In fun and sadness too
Mine are two - Amar and Prem from Andaz Apna Apna and Brian O'Conner and Dominic Toretto from Fast and Furious series. Salman and Aamir run a laugh riot pushing, shoving each other as friends in real life do, at times bordering on frenimies. Vin Diesel and Paul Walker epitomise trust and that is the underlying principle of partnership in the series. Their reel life bond trickles over to real, Vin names his daughter Pauline after Paul who lost life in a crash.
