Zareen signs her second Punjabi film
Zareen Khan, who was last seen in Vikram Bhatt’s horror film 1921 earlier this year, has now signed her second Punjabi film.
Titled as Pathankot, the film will recreate terrorist attacks of 2016 in the state. Zareen confirmed the news and said, “Shooting for the film should start towards the end of December with a 40-day schedule. I play a simple girl with the spirit of a fighter. She’s the film’s protagonist and a really strong character even though she starts out as a vulnerable person.” The actress further says that since she isn’t very fluent in Punjabi, her prep will focus more on the language. She adds, “For my first Punjabi film, I had shot in several small villages there and found the locals to be large-hearted people.”
Zarine’s first Punjabi film debut was with Jatt James Bond opposite Gippy Grewal.
