Sony Entertainment Television’s Superstar Singer has found the winner of its 1st edition—nine-year-old Prity Bhattacharjee, who hails from Bardhaman, Kolkata. The show, which culminated its first season, had a fitting finale with judges Alka Yagnik, Himesh Reshammiya and Javed Ali setting the stage on fire with scintillating performances on Bollywood chartbusters. Legendary musician Pyarelal too was present on the sets to shower his blessings on the little ones.
Captain Nitin Kumar, who mentored the winner, said, “The audience had showered me with love when I started my journey as a participant on Indian Idol. I am happy and grateful that they have showered the same blessings on Prity. I really appreciate and thank everyone who came forward and made her the winner. Every contestant got opportunities to learn and improve their singing, and the tremendous growth is evident in all.”
