Amitabh Bachchan is often seen reciting lines from his father Harivanshrai Bachchan’s poems.
During the making of his upcoming film Badla, directed by Sujoy Ghosh, Amitabh used the iconic poet’s famous work of art Gudiya, which is based on the concept of Russian dolls as the metaphor for Taapsee Pannu’s character in the film.
Gudiya signifies the underlying layers of the Russian doll, thereby talking about the various facades of life. The Russian doll which unveils smaller dolls one after another on uncovering is significant to Taapsee Pannu’s character as she reveals her various layers through the film.
In Badla, Taapsee plays a business woman who is caught up in a tragic situation after her extra marital affair is exposed and her lover is killed. The film is slated to release on March 8.
