Between real and scary
Jindari
Jindari is a Punjabi movie, directed by Ashish Bhatia. It features Dev Kharoud and Prem Chopra in lead roles. The story of the film revolves around four college friends Jolly, Deep, Garry and Kirat who get into trouble due to Kanwar Rana (Victor John), a spoiled brat, who plays the son of Woman and Child Welfare Minister Pratap Singh Rana in the film.
When Kirat's friend Simran from Canada comes down to see the culture of Punjab, she is raped by Kanwar Rana. After this heinous crime, Rana puts the blame on Jolly (Dev Kharoud). Will Simran find justice? Will Kanwar Rana be punished for his deeds? Will Jolly be able to prove that he is innocent?
Sensitive subject
It’s a nice film and it reflects on the society and today’s youth! It’s a very sensitive story about a young NRI girl, who gets raped and how the system fails to give justice to the victim and how her friends help her out.

Reality bites
This is a film about a girl who is raped; it reminded me of the Delhi rape case. The film is very realistic and Dev’s acted very well in it.

Power that corrupts
This is a beautiful film that mirrors the harsh realities of society. It shows how power-drunk people with good connections exploit women. Romy, student
Centred around youth
This film has not been made for entertainment. It touches on serious subjects. Everyone in the film had equal roles. It’s not just about feminism, but about the youth of Punjab.

Act apart
I liked the film very much and it’s probably because I believe in the supernatural. Also, I am seeing Javed Jaffrey in a serious role for the first time. He has acted really well and I enjoyed watching the film very much.

Off-putting
I did not like the film. Its plot, storyline and direction are quite off-putting and unbelievable.
