Matchmaking remains a major concern in our society and if we take into concern people with disabilities, it takes a monstrous proportion.

Had it not been for Shankar Srinivasan and Kalyani Khona, the process to find a match would not have been that simple. The two founded Inclov – inclusive love – a matchmaking site for people with disabilities and health disorders. Both finance graduates, the two aimed at matchmaking segment and wanted to serve a real cause and thus Inclov was born. 

So far, the platform boasts of 10,000 users, 4500+ matches and 47 per cent of them are actively using Inclov to look for a date or life partner.

And the efforts of this Gurgaon-based duo are just not restricted to the app but extends to social meetings too. Last weekend saw Inclov Social Spaces event at Kitty Su, The Lalit. And the night party had some 60 people. Totally accessible with ramp and sign interpreters, the event made sure that everyone present had a good time. One at the event shared how this meet fulfilled one of her dreams to be at a night club. In fact, the DJ at the party Varun Khullar is wheel chair bound too due to a spinal injury.

Interestingly, the event had people without any health disorders too, some who had showed up with their friends who are not that fortunate or siblings and yet others who don’t subscribe to the concept of disability at all. 

Among these happy folks is Shankar who cannot stop smiling, “We started last year and within 10 days of the launch of the app, we got a call from a happy woman at the other end, all set to marry. They celebrated their first anniversary and all the members of Inclov couldn’t be happier!”
