Salman’s dislike towards singer Arijit Singh had reportedly grown after the actor felt insulted by the singer’s comment during an award function in 2014.

Even after making a public apology on Facebook in 2016, Arijit is still missing from Salman’s films. It’s been close to four years now and looks like Salman neither forgives nor forgets!

The latest buzz suggests that Salman, who has a cameo in movie Welcome To New York, has asked the makers to replace Arijit by another singer for a song in the film.

As soon as these reports started doing rounds on social media, Salman was at the receiving end.  The actor was trolled, called arrogant and even questioned for promoting Pakistani singers. While one user wrote, “Arijit ki success dekha nahi jaata salman se....ego par kayam h salman....agar Arijit ko gaana de diya to ego ka kya...”, another user asked him, “Mr. Khan, do your neighbouring country also promotes Indian talent...” While trollers had their field day, talking about the issue director of Welcome To New York, Chakeri Toleti says, “I don’t understand why we are being targeted like this. Our film releases this Friday and this is just too much stress. We have made an entertaining film and we don’t want to hurt anyone.”
