This blockbuster movie, starring Shahid Kapoor was earlier offered to Arjun Kapoor by the producers. But reportedly, director Sandeep Vanga had his heart stuck on Shahid. He was already in talks with the actor and was sure he wanted to cast him. Shahid plays the titular role of a brash, unruly, alcoholic medical student, and the director says that he suits the role to the T.

Missed, by chance 
Ram Leela
Kareena Kapoor was first offered Ram Leela with Ranveer Singh, but the actress opted out of the project as in the end moment her dates clashed and she had prior commitments. She refused to do the role and did Gori Tere Pyaar Main instead with Imran Khan. Later on Ram Leela gave us Bollywood’s most loved couple on screen and off screen - Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone. 

What a mistake 
Band Baaja Baarat
Band Baaja Baarat was initially offered to Ranbir Kapoor, but he turned down the project as he was more keen on doing Anjaana Anjaani with Priyanka Chopra. The role then went to Ranveer and we got our loving Bittoo Sharma who today is the most bankable star in Bollywood. Who knew that was just a start for Ranveer Singh. He has been unstoppable.
