Guru Nanak Dev ji is an embodiment of love and peace. His teachings are relevant for all times and people, irrespective of their faith or community. So when it is the 550th birth anniversary of the Guru, who propagated oneness and humanity, the occasion calls for celebration and reinforcing his message of peace

Being from a devout Punjabi family, singer Harshdeep Kaur knew she had to do something special to commemorate the significant date. Brainstorming with her husband, Mankeet, started months before and her thoughts took the shape of a song. Jagmeet Bal and Charanjeet Singh wrote the lyrics, while Harshdeep began the process of composing it. Almost done with singing, Harshdeep had another realisation — it isn’t a celebration for her alone; it is a day which the whole world will honour. And so was born Sat Guru Nanak Aaye Ne, a first-of-its-kind collaboration featuring the best from the industry.

The theme revolves around Guru Nanak Dev ji’s teachings and the feel is celebratory.”

Proud feeling
I consider Harshdeep my younger sister and when she approached me to be a part of the song that she had specially created for the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev ji, I felt really happy and proud of her. — Kapil Sharma, comedian

Great honour
There are very few moments in life when you feel the hard work and passion is finally justified. The feeling of gratification comes when you are able to be part of a project like this and I feel honoured.  — Shankar Mahadevan, singer

Truly blessed
I have always felt a strong connect with Sat Guru Nanak Ji during several darshans at the Golden Temple, so to be a part of this beautiful song that celebrates the great Guru, I feel truly blessed and very lucky. — Shaan, singer
