We know her for her pretty face, beautiful dimples and everything Punjabi. Kulraj Randhawa has shown her acting mettle in both television and films. Her love for storytelling has also made her a part of international theatre. While all this is about her professional interest, let’s see what delights her in the kitchen....

Forever favourite

Talk about food and I love my mom’s home cooked food the most; I dig it also because I don’t get to eat it too often!

Fond food memory

Cooking noodles in my boarding school dormitory is something I can never forget. It used to be fun and adventure at the same time. We were a gang of girls who did this quite often.

A balanced choice

I love to have a full breakfast. Lunch is milder, dinner is light. But I stick to my time. I believe in a balanced diet. Eat in moderation and at the right time. Plus, exercise well and most important stay happy!

All over the place

When it comes to having favourites in eating out, I have a long list. So, in India, love the diversity in food. I am a great fan of yakhni from Kashmir, saag in mud pots in Punjab, South Indian food, especially Mangalorian, and then of course the Hyderabadi biryani. In France, it would be sea food. Meat pies in Canada and the street food in Thailand. Sometimes, I like to have street foods in Chandigarh. I love to experiment with street food, provided it is fresh and clean.

Fine dining means

When I am in the mood for fine dining, Japanese food would be my preferred choice. Japanese cuisine offers an abundance of gastronomical delights with a boundless variety of dishes.

When in City Beautiful

There are a lot of eating joints with a whole lot of variety to try from in Chandigarh. I was a fan of Italian food by Chef Antonella in JW Marriott. Since he moved from there, my next best is Lotus at Taj.

Truly Punjabi

I love ghar ka khana and daal makhani is my all-time favourite.

Give me anytime

If I had to survive on just one kid of food, sea food is the choice I’d make. I relish it, has variety in both options and tastes.

Sweet nothings

I pick creme brûlée and sex-in-a-pan for satiating my sweet tooth.
