Linemen union calls off protest

Patiala: The Unemployed Lineman Union (Mann), president, Balkor Singh Mann, today called off his hunger strike after getting an assurance of acceptance of his demands by the PSPCL.

Patiala: The Unemployed Lineman Union (Mann), president, Balkor Singh Mann, today called off his hunger strike after getting an assurance of acceptance of his demands by the PSPCL. Balkor, who was fast unto death from August 7, ended his protest by sipping juice from the hands of RP Pandove, director administration. The agitating linemen held a meeting with the PSPCL officials on Monday evening. TNS
