LPU pledges support for Nepal victims

Jalandhar, April 29

Lovely Professional University and its students has come forward to support earthquake victims in Nepal.

LPU Chancellor Ashok Mittal has declared a monetary help of Rs 5 lakh through university funds and another 5 Lakh from students’ initiative ‘Joy of Giving’. This amount will be given as donation of Rs 2 lakh each to Prime Minister’s Relief Fund, UNICEF, and Red Cross Society. The balance of Rs 4 Lakh will be given to Nepalese students studying at LPU to spend judiciously as per the situation demands when they will go to their country after final exams.
