‘Ms Trinjan 2019’ contest held

A function titled ‘Trinjan 2019’ was organised by the postgraduate residents of girls hostel no 6 of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU). Cultural performances were showcased by the students.

Gurinder Kaur Sangha, Dean Postgraduate Studies, was the chief guest. She motivated girls to take benefit of every opportunity that comes their way. She also lauded the efforts of hostel residents in successfully organising the programme.

Sukhdeep Kaur Mann, hostel warden, welcomed the chief guest and dignitaries. She said such programmes provided a platform to hostel residents to interact among each other and also understand the cultural diversity. The celebrations began with Saraswati Vandana sung by Gayathri, an MBA student.

‘Miss Trinjan-2019’ contest was also held, in which 20 hostel girls participated. Manreet Kaur from microbiology was the winner. ‘Miss Beautiful Smile’ award went to Ruhi Parashar, a PhD student of school of business studies, while Partishtha, a student of Master of Science, bagged the ‘Miss Elegant’ title. Heena and Sakshi won the first and second prize, respectively, in mehndi competition. In poster-making competition, Mansi and Ayushi Singla got the first and second prize, respectively.
