1,500 stones removed from woman’s gallbladder

Ludhiana, August 28

Doctors at the Civil Hospital here have removed 1,500 gallstones from a woman’s gallbladder. This was a laparoscopic surgery which was performed on patient Premlata today by Dr Varun Saggar, HOD, Surgery, and Dr Milan Verma. “She had around 1,500 stones in her gallbladder which is very unusual. It took as much time to count the stones by the staff as it took us to complete the surgery, said the surgeons. — TNS
