130 schools display their models at science exhibition

A two-day regional-level CBSE science exhibition with the theme, scientific solutions for challenges in life, kick started at Kundan Vidya Mandir, Civil Lines, here. Around 130 schools from different parts of Punjab put up 150 exhibits comprising innovative working models and investigation based projects.

The exhibition was inaugurated by chief guest R J Khanderao, regional director, CBSE. While VK Goyal, chairman of KVM managing committee was the special guest of the event. Both the guest and other dignitories inspected the guard of honour, presented by the iron eagle cadets. A large number of students and teachers thronged the exhibition on the first day.

Principal Navita Puri, while addressing the gathering saluted the nation, teachers, students and CBSE for taking initiatives and making efforts to strengthen the education system. While thanking joint director of CBSE Shweta Singh and regional director RJ Khanderao for giving opportunity to KVM to host the exhibition, the principal said it was imperative to prepare our children for scientific and technological developments.

The chief guest RJ Khanderao said the science exhibition was an endeavour to stimulate the attitude of students for innovation and scientific aptitude among students. He congratulated and appreciated the host school for the mega event.
