Hero DMC Heart Institute held a mega heart-check-camp today at an old age home at Waddi Haibowal in Ludhiana. The camp was organised by Youth sports club.
Senior Cardiologist of Hero DMC heart institute, Dr Naved Aslam and Dr Manbir Singh (DM-Resident) examined the patients during the camp.
Nearly 220 patients were diagnosed during the camp. Along with the required medical advice, free blood pressure, random blood sugar and the ECG was done and free medicine was provided to all patients .
“Heart diseases are increasing at an alarming rate in the urban centres. It is being said as the biggest killer in India replacing the communicable diseases. Increased use of tobacco and rise in the cases of diabetes has made Indians prone to coronary diseases said Dr Naved Aslam, Senior Cardiologist, Hero DMC Heart Institute.
