LUDHIANA: A four-day kabaddi tournament will be organised by the Punjab Sports Department across the state from July 16 to 19.

A four-day kabaddi tournament will be organised by the Punjab Sports Department across the state from July 16 to 19. This tournament is being held to commemorate the 550th year of Guru Nanak Dev Parkash Purv.

In a press release issued by the local office of the State Sports Department here today, it was informed that following the instructions from the Punjab Government, the kabaddi tournament (national style) will be conducted at the sub-divisions of Ludhiana district in which competition for boys and girls U-14, 18 and 25 years would be held.

The release issued by Ravinder Singh, District Sports Officer, Ludhiana, said the matches in the Ludhiana sub-division (West) would be organised at Thareeke village, while those in the sub-division (East) would be played at Khasi Kalan and Raikot on July 16 and 17. — OC
