400 volunteers’mission: Making city neat and clean

The Sant Nirankari Mission and the Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation carried out a cleanliness campaign, under the guidance of Sant Nirankari Mandal’s zonal head, at the Civil Hospital here today.

Around 400 volunteers of all age groups participated with zeal. The Sant Nirankari Mission organises a cleanliness campaign every year on February 23 to mark the birth anniversary of Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj and is followed throughout the year.

The foundation is contributing to the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in a big way and the Government of India has declared the Sant Nirankari Mission as a brand ambassador of the Abhiyan since 2015.

Chawla gave the message that such campaigns are organised with the pious motive of making the surroundings neat, clean and green.

The Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation is contributing to the social welfare of the humanity by running educational institutes, stitching and computer centres. Along with this, blood donations are also organised throughout the year.

Senior Medical Oficer Kulwinder Singh was present.
