Ludhiana, January 10
The Model Town police have booked 41 persons in connection with the Wednesday night clash between two groups where two persons had suffered bullet injuries.
A cross-case of attempt to murder and Arms Act has been registered against the assailants of both groups.
Atam Park police post in-charge ASI Balkar Singh said two groups, one led by Kulwinder Singh Johny of Manjit Nagar, and another by Gurmeet Singh, alias Ricky, comprising more than 24 persons, clashed last night. While members of both groups pelted each other with stones and glass bottles, shots were also fired during the clash at Abdulapur Basti.
Persons from both groups suffered injuries and they also damaged cars parked in the area.
Assistant Sub-inspector Balkar said raids were being conducted at the hideouts of the assailants and they would be arrested soon.
Those booked included Kulwinder Singh, Goldy of Manjit Nagar, Bholu of Model Town, Mithu of Model Town, Chandu of Manjit Nagar, Manjinder Singh of Guru Nanak Nagar, Rinku of chitey quarters, Manjit Singh of Azad Nagar, Johny of Sham Nagar, Sanjiv Kumar of Chitey quarters, Kamalpreet of lal quarters, Rinku Thukral of Model Town, Raju Thukral, Deepu Kabaria, Saini Shimlapuri of Model Town, Gurmeet Singh, Sher Singh, Baljinder Singh, Surinder Singh of Model Town and Mandeep Singh of Abdulapur.
