The team challaned 43 vans and buses of local schools. Lovejeet Kalsi, RTA, said the district administration had been keeping a vigil at the school vans to ensure the safety of schoolchildren under the Safe School Vahan Policy.

“We hold meetings with the school authorities on a regular basis and issue instructions to them to ensure safety of the schoolchildren in the vans. School buses found violating the traffic norms and the Safe School Vahan Policy are often challaned,” said Kalsi.
