Ludhiana, June 13
As many as 863 students appeared for Agriculture Aptitude Test (AAT) – 2017 today, conducted by Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) for admission to BSc Hons (Agriculture) six-year programme.
According to the University authorities, 693 boys and 170 girls appeared for AAT for seeking admission to BSc Hons (Agriculture) 6-year (2+4) at Institutes of Agriculture, Bathinda and Gurdaspur.
Dr NK Khullar, Controller of Examinations, PAU, said, “The AAT received an overwhelming response from across the Punjab state.” Against 120 seats, 933 applications were received, he disclosed, saying that the programme was becoming very popular among the rural boys and the girls.
“This indicates that PAU is a favourite destination of the students for receiving education in agriculture,” he stated. The eligibility for appearing in this test was matric standard and four centres were created on the campus,” he added. Dr RS Sidhu, Registrar, PAU, said the result of AAT will be posted on the University website.
