A film on Punjabi, Haryanvi bond

Jaggi’s dream is to get married to Sarla. What will happen when the pundit tells him that he will have to get married to a dog before tying knot with Sarla.

‘Vekh Baraatan Challiyan’, the upcoming Punjabi flick, which will show new concept, is set to be released on July 28. The entire starcast was in the city to promote their film.

The male lead character, Binnu Dhillon, said, “The film is on two different families one from Punjab and the other from Haryana. Jatt family is from Punjab and the Jaat family is from Haryana.”

Dhillon said, “The film is based on few religious and traditional ethics. The main character, a bus conductor, falls in love with a frequent traveller Sarla, who is from Haryana. And when both of them decide to get married, something drastic happens.”

According to storyline of the film, Sarla’s father is a firm believer in religious beliefs, ethics and traditions. One condition he has for Jaggi is that he will have to show his ‘Janam Patri’ in order to get married to Sarla. And Jaggi will be able to get married only if his and Sarla’s ‘Janam Patris’ match.

Jaggi’s character is played by comedian Binnu Dhillon and Kavita Kaushik dons the role of Sarla. Other actors of the film are Jaswinder Bhalla, Karamjit Anmol, Gobind Namdev, Mukesh Bhatt and Mithila Purohit. Amrinder Gill and Ranjit Bawa are seen in special appearances in film.
