Academic achievers of KIMT
Ludhiana: Students of the Khalsa Institute of Management and Technology for Women, Civil Lines, have excelled in the result of June PTU Examination for MCA and BCA (semesters IV). In MCA, Harjinder Kaur, Rimaljeet Kaur and Baljeet Kaur scored 9 Semester Grade Point Average (SGPA). Shivani Sethi stood second with 8.8 SGPA and Simranjeet Kaur scored 8.6 SGPA. In BCA, Aakashdeep Kaur scored 9.38, Pallavi Bajaj scored 9.29 and Anishka Mehta scored 8.96 in the PTU exams.
New session at GGNIVS
The Gujranwala Guru Nanak Institute of Vocational Studies organised an induction event for the newcomers. College Director Manjit Singh Chhabra lit a lamp to herald a new beginning. He assured students that the GGNIVS facilitates an environment which is skill enhancing, besides providing a conventional degree.
Lecture at KCW
The Department of Business Management and Commerce, Khalsa College for Women, organised a guest lecture on ‘Changing paradigms of business in the changing environment’ in which Prof Bhupinder Bhardwaj from South Thames College, London, told students about how fast the business environment was changing and discussed with them the changing strategies needed to meet this dynamism. He shared the impact of Brexit on the world business.
Sangeet Sabha held at KCW
Khalsa College for Women organised an event called 'Geetanjali Sangeet Sabha' . The event took place under the supervision of Reema Sharma, Head of the Department of Music Vocal. More than 20 students participated in Geetanjali Sangeet Sabha. Mukesh Lata and Rama Bhagat, Dept of Music Instrumental, judged the event. Harmanpreet Kaur of BCom-I stood first, Simranpreet Kaur of BA- I stood second and Umapreet of BSc-I stood third. Principal of the college, Mukti Gill, congratulated the Music Department for organising the event. Principal said the college always seeks balance between academic and co-curricular activities for the students.— TNS
