Mandi Ahmedgarh, July 1

Office-bearers and activists of various organisations vowed to preserve the environment by growing and nurturing more fruits and trees at places available in the premises of their residence and work places. The oath was taken in response to office bearers of the Samaj Sewa Society during the concluding session of sapling distribution function at railway station here.

Social activist Nidhi Chahal inaugurated the event and former president Municipal Council Ravinder Puri was the chief guest. Convener of the project Rachhpal Singh said around 800 saplings were distributed among desirous environmentalists.

Speakers, including Dr Sunit Hind, Shelly Sharma, Nidhi Chahal and Ravinder Puri, called upon the residents of the area to associate with organisations which were all out to save environment by planting trees in their respective areas.
