ADCP conducts security checks at BJP, RSS offices

Ahead of Independence Day, the police today conducted a security check at the BJP’s district office at Clock Tower and the Madhav Sadan office of the RSS in Ghumar Mandi.
ADCP (Headquarters and Security) Deepak Pareek visited both offices and took stock of the security arrangements.
The ADCP also told the business establishments located near the BJP office to get their servants registered at the police station.
Though police officials are mum on the exact reason of checking, sources said one of other reasons was the recent decision of the Union government regarding the scraping of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.
Meanwhile, the ADCP also visited Bhaini Sahib where some religious event of the VHP was going on. He took stock of the security arrangements.
Sources said the police were going to increase the patrolling around the offices of the BJP and RSS, and Bhaini Sahib to keep a tab over anti-social elements and maintain the law and order situation in the city.
BJP district president Jatinder Mittal said the police conducted security checks at the BJP and RSS offices just as a precautionary measure.
Recently, ADGP RN Dhoke and Police Commissioner Sukhchain Singh Gill conducted a surprise check at the city railway station.
