Air quality remains poor

Ludhiana, November 13
A layer of smog engulfed the city on Wednesday too as the air quality index (AQI) remained in the poor category. The AQI was recorded 282 at 10 am today at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana. The visibility was low due to smog on city roads.
The AQI was recorded 258 at 7 pm at PAU. At Khanna in Ludhiana district the AQI was recorded 250 at 7 pm. If the AQI falls between 201 and 300, the possible health impact is breathing discomfort to most people. There was no report about any stubble burning case in the district on Wednesday as per information available on the website of the Punjab Remote Sensing Centre.
