Amritsar’s Ramesh crowned Mr Punjab-2018

Ramesh Kumar of Amritsar was crowned Mr Punjab-2018, while Maninder Singh and Shourya of Ludhiana were declared winners in their respective weight categories in the 45th Senior Mr Punjab, Men’s Physique and Women’s Fitness Competition held at Triveni Palace, Nabha, on Sunday.

Ramesh Kumar faced a stiff challenge from his city mate Jorawar Singh and Mohit Heer of Jalandhar whom he outperformed to lay his hands on the winners’ trophy. He was given a motorbike, while first-three position holders in all weight groups received cash prizes in addition to trophies. Shourya emerged as winner in Men’s Physique competition (up to 70-kg group) and Chander Parvesh of Mohali came out triumphant in Women’s Fitness competition.

Over 140 participants flexed their muscles in the competition organised by the Punjab Amateur Bodybuilding Association under the aegis of the Indian Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, Punjab.

Deepak Prashar (Ludhiana), Parminder Singh (Ferozepur), Ravi Prashar (Ludhiana), Mohd Akhtar (Sangrur), Arvinder Singh Bhola and Jaswinder Singh Ubhi, both (Kapurthala) and Ranbir Singh Saini (Hoshiarpur) were the judges.
