Artificial limb centre inaugurated at Hambran

Ludhiana, October 17
An Artificial Limb Centre (ALC) set up by the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PMR) Department of the Christian Medical College and Hospital, Ludhiana, was inaugurated at Mata Kaushalya Devi Pahwa Charitable Hospital, a unit of the CMC, Ludhiana.
The centre was inaugurated on Wednesday by the CM’s Officer on Special Duty (OSD) Damandeep Singh, who was the chief guest, and the ceremony was chaired by Dr William Bhatti, Director of CMC, and Onkar Singh Pahwa, CMD of Avon Cycles.
Dr William Bhatti, director of the Christian Medical College and Hospital, congratulated the PMR Department for this project and said the centre could help persons with disabilities to live an independent and joyous life.
Dr Rohit, Assistant Professor at Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PMR) Department, said, “We hope that with the establishment of the Artificial Limb Centre at Hambran, a large number of disabled patients will benefit from its services.”
