Come elections and the flock of self-seeking politicians - of all hues, start showing their real colours. During the previous SAD-BJP regime and then during the 2017 assembly elections, many 'disappointed' political workers/leaders had said goodbye to their respective parties - all of them were feeling suffocated with the policies and programmes of their parties - and joined other (read ruling) party obviously looking for greener pastures. However, as most of these politicians could not be accommodated and given promised posts by the then ruling combine, and due to the fact that the Congress emerged as winner in the assembly elections, they are now returning to the fold of their original party, which is now in the saddle. Most of those now taken back in the party fold had contested elections as rebel candidates against their own party nominees without any success and having licked the dirt, now they have made a beeline to rejoin the party 'on the voice of their conscience'. Such opportunist and untrustworthy leaders ought to be ostracised, and if the political parties entertain such persons due to certain compulsions, the people should outrightly reject them and show their place.
