Bhartiya Vidya Mandir School dominate on Day 1

Hosts Bhartiya Vidya Mandir (BVM) Senior Secondary School, Kitchlu Nagar branch, dominated the proceedings in the boys’ and girls’ sections in the Ludhiana Sahodaya Schools Complex Handball Tournament here today. BVM registered win in all the three age groups in the girls’ section while wrapping up two matches in the boys’ U-14 category.
As many as 700 players representing 12 schools affiliated with the CBSE are taking part in the two-day tournament in which boys and girls are competing in the U-14, 17 and 19 categories.
MM Vyas, secretary, BVM Trust, declared the tournament open. RK Behl and MM Bhamba, both trustees were also present on the occasion.
First day results
Girls (U-14): BVM, Kitchlu Nagar, beat Nankana Sahib Public School 5-0; Jesus Sacred Heart School beat DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road 6-0.
Girls (U-17): BCM Arya Model Senior Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, beat DAV Public School, BRS Nagar, 5-0; BVM, Kitchlu Nagar beat DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road, 1-0; BCM School, Shastri Nagar beat Nankana Sahib Public School 7-0.
Girls (U-19): DAV Public School, BRS Nagar, beat Guru Nanak Public School 5-2; BVM, Kitchlu Nagar, beat DCM Presidency School 10-1.
Boys (U-14): BCM Arya Model Senior Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, beat BCM Senior Secondary School, Basant City, 16-0; DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road, beat Jesus Sacred Heart School 8-0; DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road, beat BVM, Udham Singh Nagar 9-0; BVM, Kitchlu Nagar, beat DAV Public School, BRS Nagar, 10-5 and BVM, Kitchlu Nagar, beat BCM Arya Model School, Shastri Nagar, 16-13.
