Book titled ‘Sandhoor Dani’ released

Punjabi poet and former president of Punjabi Sahit Akademi Ludhiana Prof Gurbhajan Singh Gill’s new book titled “Sandhoor Dani” was released by PAU Vice-Chancellor Dr Baldev Singh Dhillon and Punjab Arts Council chairman Dr Surjit Patar at V-C’s Committee Room in the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), here on Thursday.
“Sandhoor Dani” is Prof Gill’s 15th book and comprises of more than 300 Rubais (a poem or a verse consisting of four lines) in Punjabi language.
Dr Dhillon said that there is a need to promote Rubai’s, Dohare, Baint and other such forms of poetry that were slowly vanishing.
