CBSE issues guidelines for disabled students

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has come up with a revised list of exemptions/concessions for the students with disabilities.

Students, who have disability certificates from the government hospitals, will be given extra time and scribe for the examination. A student can also ask for more than one scribe and change the it as well. The fee for the scribe will be paid by the CBSE.

If a student needs computer than it will be allowed only after it is certified by the registered medical practitioner.

Student can also opt for computer for typing and in case the student is bringing his/her own computer for typing then it should not have internet connection.

Portable Video magnifier is also allowed for the visually-impaired students.
