Ludhiana, December 4
The censorship board has refused to certify movie “Shudra to Khalsa”. During an interaction with mediapersons today, the team associated with the film said it has decided to challenge the decision of the censor board at the Film Certification Appellate Tribunal (FCAT).
They said in case the FCAT too denies the certification, then they would approach the Supreme Court of India.
Executive producer Advocate Harpreet Singh Jamalpur, Sikh preacher bhai Harpreet Singh Makhu and Director of the film Baba Kamal said, “The censor board is under the influence of the Central Government.”
“We were waiting for the approval from last six months. The trailer and promos were already certified in June and July. However, they refused to release the film stating that major historic facts were distorted unnecessarily and the film is factually misleading,” said the team member.
