CICU felicitates 19 businessmen for extraordinary performance

The CICU has felicitated businesses for extraordinary performances in their respective fields. Upkar Singh Ahuja, president, CICU, and Pankaj Sharma, general secretary, CICU, jointly said the main objective to organise this event was to encourage industrialists to keep doing their best in such a competitive era.

As many as 19 businessmen, who have done extraordinary work in their fields, were awarded by CICU today Awards for best innovation, business excellence recognition, highest export growth, best quality and best lean manufacturing, among others were given to industrialists during the award ceremony.

Ahuja said such recognition provided encouragement to young entrepreneurs, who focused on upgrading technology, research and leading a shift towards modernisation of industry.

The “Business Excellence Recognition” award was given to Onkar Singh Pahwa, CMD, Avon Cycles Limited; Suraj Dada, chairman, Dada Motors; Kailash Goenka, MD, Ludhiana Beverages Private Limited; Arun Kumar Sureka, MD, Hartex Rubber Private Limited; and Arun Kumar Poddar, CMD, Poddar Tyres Limited.

The “Young Entrepreneur” award was given to Mohit Goel, CEO, Omaxe Limited; and Harpreet Singh Walia, proprietor, Faucon Industries. The “Highest Export Volume” award was given to Vineet Adya, managing partner, RB Knit Exports; and HR Kapoor, CFO, Nahar Spinning Mills.

The “Highest Export Growth in an SME” award was given to Jaspal Singh Shahpuri, proprietor, Shahpuri Industries. The “Best Innovation” award was given to Ranbir Singh, proprietor, JugMug Roll Forming; and Amit Jain, director, RCJ Auto Forge Private Limited.

Best Quality Award were given to Dr. APS Gogia, Managing Partner Transworld Enterprises and Sahil Aggarwal, Partner, Amar Wheels Private Limited. The “Best Lean Manufacturing” and the “Best Service Provider” award were given to SP Singh Dua, MD, Falcon Garden Tools; and SB Singh, CEO, Taaran Industries, respectively.

The “Emerging SME” award was given to Gurjit Singh, managing partner, Endico Power Tools, and the “Manufacturing Excellence” award to Nirapjeet Singh, MD, Jaewoo Machines. The “Best HR Practices” award was given to Gaurav Sarup, MD, Marshall Machines.
