Duke Fashions (India) Limited, a lifestyle brand, with a successful track record in manufacturing quality readymade garments with contemporary styling, has bagged the coveted ‘Punjab MSME Awards’18’ for Excellency in Fashion Industry and its extraordinary contribution of MSMEs in the development of Punjab.

Kuntal Raj Jain, director Duke Fashions (India) Limited, received the prestigious award as the most prominent personality of Punjab in Fashion Industry from Manpreet Singh Badal, Minister of Finance and Planning, Punjab, at a glittering ceremony of Uddyami Samman Awards recently held at Hotel JW Marriot, Chandigarh.

Speaking on the achievement, Kuntal Raj Jain, Director Duke Fashions (India) Ltd, said, “I am delighted to be recognised at such a prestigious platform. Avon Cycles Ltd has been conferred ‘Excellence in Innovation’ award by India News Punjab at its ‘Uddyami Samman Awards’ in Punjab at Hotel JW Marriot, Chandigarh. The award was to honour extraordinary contribution of the MSMEs in the development of Punjab. The event was graced by Manpreet Singh Badal, Minister for Finance and Planning, Punjab.

The executive director Mandeep Pahwa received the coveted award from Finance Minister Punjab Manpreet Singh Badal.

Talking to media Mandeep Pahwa said the award was conferred for innovation in bicycle manufacturing. The event witnessed three key sessions, which touched upon various key issues of the state, such as- Impact of Industrial Growth on Social Economic Development; Challenges before MSME in Punjab and an exclusive one-on-one session with the Finance Minister of Punjab, Manpreet Singh Badal. During the event, Manpreet Badal also felicitated the people from the business fraternity of Punjab with ‘Uddyami Samman Awards’.

The Uddyami Samman Awards, are given in various categories, including, the most premium real estate projects of Punjab, presented to Anupam Gupta, Director – Marketing, Gupta Builders and Promoters; Excellence in Fashion Industry, presented to Kuntal Raj Jain, Director, Duke Fashions (India) Ltd.; Innovation in the Cycle Industry presented to Mandeep Pahwa, Director, Avon Cycles.

Gurmeet Singh Kular President FICO has been conferred with Award of Excellence for his Contribution towards the Growth of MSMEs of India, from Giriraj Singh Hon’ble Union Minister for MSMEs Government of India at New Delhi. Kular was the youngest awardee in this Dare to Dream awards. This award was given to those organisations who worked for the development of MSMEs & Ludhiana was on top among them.

MSME organization from Bhopal, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore & Kolkata were also Awarded by the Minister For Contribution towards the growth of MSMEs of India.

Onkar Singh Pahwa, Parton in Chief FICO, Chairman Avon Cycles Limited, congratulated Gurmeet Singh Kular and said it was an honor for them that their president had got another feather in his crown, by Union Minister for MSME, Government of India.
